Tour Description

You will admire all the most important highlights of Ravenna and Bologna: two culturally rich and well-preserved cities. The tour in each city lasts around 3 hours and we can even arrange the transportation for you!.
Follow your guide through the charming streets of Ravenna and admire the stunning mosaics of the 5th century Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the oldest building in the city. You will then step into the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, where the mosaics depict in breathtaking colors the life of Christ, and the Basilica of San Vitale, an octagonal marble church capped by a terracotta dome. No tour of Ravenna would be complete without a visit to the “Zone of Silence”, the quiet area of the city center where you will find the Tomb of Dante, the Quadrarco of Braccioforte and the Basilica of San Francesco.
During the second part of this tour you will take a leisurely walk through
Via dell’Indipendenza, the main street of Bologna, and the popular Parco della Montagnola. Get your camera ready and peek through the little Finestrella to view one of the canals of the city: a little piece of Venice in Bologna! The tour includes a visit to the majestic Fontana del Nettuno, a symbol of the city, and to the Basilica of San Petronio.
You will finally follow our guide along Piazza Maggiore and the colorful Mercato Antiquario, while you learn about the history of the two towers, Asinelli and Garisenda, mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy.
