On this highlights and food tasting tour you will follow your guide in a journey through typical products, recipes and historical sites of the Eternal City. You will sample some freshly made pizza, not to mention the typical cheeses and seasonal fruit. The highlight of this tour is the Trionfale Market with its colorful stands. This is one of the largest covered markets in Europe and here you can taste various authentic Roman delicacies, such as supplì - small fried risotto balls -, cured meats and pastries.

Take a leisurely stroll through the elegant Prati district with its buildings, monuments and high-class restaurants, as well as Borgo, a historic neighborhood located near the Tiber River from where you will admire Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vittorio Emanuele II Bridge. As you approach the Vatican Walls you will see the accesses for pilgrims arriving in Rome: Porta Sant’Anna and Porta Angelica. Our guide will unveil all the secrets of the fascinating Passetto di Borgo, an 800 meters long escape route built in 1277 which connects the Vatican with Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour ends in the monumental St. Peter’s Square in front of the Basilica.
