    • Our tour begins at the Rialto Market, the busy heart of Venetian food shopping. Tour Details

    Full Description

Venice tastes best one bite at a time, and our 2.5-hour Venice street food tour follows the Rialto district from market stalls to the quiet squares where locals eat. In a group of no more than 14 guests, we taste cicchetti, buranelli, tramezzini, and tiramisu with a guide who orders, explains, and eats with us.

We start at the Rialto Market, where stalls fill with fresh seafood, fruit, and vegetables. The market has been the kitchen of the city for centuries, and our first tastings come straight from its rhythm: the calls of the vendors, the smell of the lagoon, and the small counters where Venetians stop for a quick bite.

A short walk brings us to Campo San Bartolomeo, a busy meeting point near the Rialto Bridge, where the statue of Carlo Goldoni watches over the square. We keep tasting as we walk, comparing flavors and learning how Venetians read a menu. Next is Campo San Polo, the second largest square in the city, surrounded by cafés and long used as the stage of neighborhood life: here the pace slows and the food keeps coming.

Our route ends in the streets around the house of Marco Polo, the explorer whose travels began in this neighborhood. Between narrow alleys and hidden corners, we taste the last bites and see how a district of merchants and travelers shaped what Venetians cook today.
